Bay Area’s Metropolitan Transportation Commission grant with BART
The MacArthur BART Mobility Hub project received a 2021 grant from the Bay Area’s Metropolitan Transportation Commission Mobility Hub competition. Mobility Hubs reduce greenhouse gas emissions by promoting low-carbon transit and expanding alternatives to private vehicles, connecting bus, ferry, train, bikeshare, and pedestrian facilities. This multiyear project has improved multimodal signage and installed solar-powered charging lockers for e-bikes and e-scooters. By enhancing access and infrastructure, the MacArthur Hub fosters a more sustainable, inclusive, and connected transportation network for the local community and the greater Bay Area, supporting long-term environmental and mobility goals.
